There are a number of standards in place to help ensure that
Petland PetsTM are healthy and
are raised in sanitary environments:
- Petland has developed relationships with professional
pet distributors who are working to provide state-of-the-art
pet care facilities and offer superior veterinary care to
Petland puppies and kittens.
- Members of Petland's corporate staff conduct on-site inspections
of pet distributors' facilities to ensure the highest animal
care procedures and facility standards are maintained.
- Petland requires all new Petland store operators to adopt
pets from Petland, Inc. associated distributors.
- Most Petland puppies and kittens have been health-checked
by two and in most cases three veterinarians before they
are offered to the public.
- Purebred puppies and kittens and most Adopt-A-Pets from
Petland leave the store with a health warranty covering
infectious diseases and hereditary or congenital disorders.
