Petland, Inc. donates to Cell Watch program, encourages other businesses to do the same
(January 17, 2011, Chillicothe, Ohio) — Petland, Inc. recently made a donation of used cell phones and accessories to the Ross County Sheriff Department’s Cell Watch Program. The local headquarters of Petland stores worldwide wants to encourage others to do the same.
“Many people in the community are unaware that this program is available in Ross County,” said Petland, Inc. Chief Operating Officer, Joe Watson.
The program, a part of the national 911 Cell Phone Bank initiative, provides free cell phones for emergency calls to area seniors and victims of abuse. To date, the program has distributed more than 95,000 emergency cell phones nationwide. Your local donation however, will remain in Ross County.
“Before you stash your old cell phone in a drawer, consider donating to the Cell Watch program,” encourages Watson.
Petland, Inc. is a franchise organization based in south-central Ohio with more than 200 full-service retail pet centers across the United States, Canada, Japan, China, Mexico and South Africa.
